Core Skills Workshop

The Core Skills Workshop is a great opportunity to refresh some of those core skills. We normally host this workshop on the first full day of Cave Camp. We break of into groups and cover some of the following skills;

  • Cave Line – Primary line deployment including primary and secondary tie offs and line placement.

  • Communication – Hand & Light Signals
  • Communication – Passive and light discipline

  • Navigation – Personal markers deployment and appropriate use.

  • Protocols – Entangled diver
  • Protocols – Lost diver
  • Protocols – Lost line

During the basic skills workshop we spend the time focussing on the cave specific skills. You should already be highly proficient in gas management and emergency procedures such as air donation.
